✰MBLAQ & Nishino Kana To Perform At VMAJ Pre-Event In Tokyo

MTV’s music video awards, “MTV VMAJ 2011”, will take place on June 25th at Makuhari Event Hall in Chiba.

This year, MTV VMAJ is celebrating their 10th appearance since 2002. The annual awards show takes votes from viewers and gives awards to those with the highest number of votes. There are appearances from domestic and international guests and the artists have live performances. All nominees, MCs, artists and guests will be announced as they are known.

Furthermore, “MTV VMAJ” will hold a pre-event on May 1st at The Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo. The participating artists are songstress Nishino Kana and MBLAQ. Other artists will be announced later as they are selected.

General admission tickets will begin going on sale on April 3rd. Subscribers to Cable TV’s “J:COM” will get to apply first from February 25th to March 6th.

✰MBC To Hold A Charity Concert With Fuji TV & Avex In Japan For 50th Anniversary

Earlier this week, MBC’s “Show! Music Core” revealed that they were planning a special overseas concert in celebration of their 50th anniversary. Further details were finalized today, and the project is a collaboration between MBC, Fuji TV, and Avex.

The concert – named as the “Legendary East 2011 Korean Music Wave Live in Tokyo” – is a charitable event for which all profits will go towards the ‘Good Friends Save the Children‘ organization.

The impressive line-up includes TVXQ, B2ST, 2AM, f(x), SHINee, MBLAQ, 4minute, SG WannaBe, miss A, SECRET and many others. The second line-up list will be revealed on March 16th.

Representatives of “Legendary East 2011″ commented, “By combining Korea’s broadcast production system with Japan’s concert production know-hows, this will be one of the best concerts ever made. We hope that the audience all over the world will enjoy and share the music presented by the greatest Hallyu stars.”

The concert is scheduled for May 14th at the Saitama Super Arena.

✰MBLAQ Opens Official Japanese Website & Reveals Debut Date

In an interview with ELLE Girl in January, the boys of MBLAQ revealed their tentative plans to debut in Japanese market some time in April.

However, it seems the debut has been pushed back to May as MBLAQ’s official Japanese website opened up today with a promotional video stating: May 4th, 2011 debut.

✰Mir Will Not Be Part Of Their Japanese Tour

MBLAQ will start their Japanese promotions without Mir.

Due to his recent surgery Mir will not join the MBLAQ members during their trip to Japan on the following days.

He left a message to his fans on their new Japanese website.

He started greeting them and talked about their debut in May. He said that he was really happy about this but also pretty nervous.

He continued by talking about the problem on his back and how he will not be able to travel because of this.

He finished his message by promising to meet them soon in a better condition, and asking the fans to support MBLAQ.

Mark your calendars ,MBLAQ fans – the hot idol group will drop their repackaged album on February 22nd!

According to J. Tune Camp, MBLAQ is preparing to release “BLAQ Style – 3D Edition” through both online and offline stores. They will also kick off their promotions shortly after the release.

This repackaged album contains the 13 songs from their first full-length album, plus three new songs. Reportedly, the songs were composed by the MBLAQ members themselves.

A representative divulged the current status of the MBLAQ members, as they explained, “Excluding Mir, who recently underwent a lower back surgery, the MBLAQ members are having a busy time preparing for the promotion. Lee Joon has also recovered from his injury and will rejoin the group”

He added, “Although Mir’s condition has improved a lot, he still needs to be extremely careful. He strongly wants to participate in the promotion even just by sitting on a chair on stage, so we are considering adding choreography that he can easily follow. However, in the worst case scenario, only four members will be able to carry out this promotion“.

Singer Rain’s agency, J.Tune Entertainment, has completed its transition to JYP Entertainment.

On February 16th, J.Tune Entertainment voted for mutual alterations through a general meeting of shareholders. As a result, J.Tune Entertainment would change into JYP Entertainment, starting on the 23rd.

As for the company directors, J.Y. Park (JYPE), Jung Wook (JYPE), and Byun Sang Bong (JYPE) were elected as director, representative, and vice president, respectively.

It was recently reported that two of the five members from MBLAQ have been suffering from injuries and sickness, resulting in various cancellations in their promotions.

While Mir is currently recovering from a hip injury, Lee Joon was recently rushed to the emergency room after showing nausea symptoms, causing the group to cancel their performance on this week’s episode of SBS’s Inkigayo.

A representative of MBLAQ told Newsen on February 15th, “Lee Joon and Mir have both cancelled their schedules and are recovering at home.”

According to the representative, on the morning of the 13th, Lee Joon suddenly felt dizzy and displayed symptoms of nausea, and was later diagnosed with a problem in his cochlea (inner ear). After receiving orders to rest from the doctors, Lee Joon is currently taking time off to recover and will soon go back for another check up.

Meanwhile Mir, who had injured his spine disk during the group’s “Y” promotions, felt aches in his back after recording for SBS’s “Star King” on the 7th. The member was later diagnosed with a herniated disk and underwent surgery in a hospital in Gangnam two days later.

“For Mir’s case, his schedules may depend on his rehabilitation. However, as the doctor said that he must receive rehab treatment, his recovery time may take a bit longer. We hope to make a decision on his return after looking over his development,” revealed the representative.

Tak Jae Hoon, comedian Lee Su Geun, Shin Bong Sun, and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon have been chosen as the new MCs for SBS’ pilot programme ‘Star Meeting*’. The recording began on the recent 20th.

The director, Lee Ji Won PD, told Money Today Star News over the phone, “The programme has 2 corners. As the title states, the first corner is where the stars meet up and go on a date. The programme’s format is then followed by the stars meeting both sides of the families”.

A performance video from Ecuadorian artist Andrea Bucaram has recently become a hot issue, due to the striking similarities between her song, “Oh Yeah“, and MBLAQ’s debut song (of the same name).

The repetition of the words “Oh yeah” in the chorus, the tweaked melody, and the familiar beats all point to the conclusion that this artist plagiarized the song from MBLAQ. If those points weren’t enough for skeptics, she also titled the song, “Oh Yeah”.

MBLAQ’s manager June tweeted a link to the video while stating “…this isn’t even plagiarism….they straight up copied the song. We will deal with this after we are sure about the situation. If anyone knows information about the singer in the video, give us a mention/message.”

MBLAQ will jump into working in Japan starting in April.

Leader Seungho said in an interview with ELLE Girl, “Starting in April, we will promote in Japan for about two months. It’s kind of late compared to other singers. We have planned out our promotions, recorded the Japanese version of our single, and even had the jacket photo shoot.”

The members have all started studying Japanese. Seungho added, “We can’t have a deep conversation in Japanese but we can express ourselves like a middle school student. My aunts got married to foreigners so I’ve been learning since I was little.”

Seungho and G.O are both born in the Year of the Rabbit, just like how 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit, so the interviewer asked whether or not they met a psychic to find out about their luck for the year, but they both said that they purposely did not go. Mir, on the other hand, said, “I love psychics and I believe them completely. My whole family loves them.”

Lee Joon talked about how hard it was for him to change schools because of his job as an idol. He said, “The school I used to attend is really hard to get into, so when I switched out, people were angry that I was letting go of such a good school so many people got rejected from.”

He also talked about Jungle Fish 2, a mini-drama series he did, “It was only eight episodes but the filming time was long. I took a break from exercising and concentrated on this drama. I was so busy that I recorded a song in just thirty minutes when I had to record for the new album.”

The members of MBLAQ made an appearance on Mnet’s “Beatles Code“, and shared personal stories about their recent purchases and their siblings.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon opened up their segment by confessing he had bought a home in Jamshil. Born in 1988, the singer turns 24 this year, and he’s demonstrated that he’s pretty mature for his age.

He reasoned that since the promotion period for an idol singer isn’t that long, he could buy himself a home.

“It’s not anything extravagant,” he shyly revealed. “One day, I just thought that I wanted to move into a home I bought with my own money and began saving up little by little since then. I’ve never once bought my own clothes since my debut. I made a promise to myself recently, and it was to never spend money on anyone else for the next 10 years.”

His fellow members confirmed, “He’s never bought us food since our debut. He’s the one who’s had the most CFs, but he’s really never bought us anything.”

MBLAQ showed their Blaq charisma through their comeback stage on Mnet MCountdown.

MBLAQ performed their first comeback stage in the afternoon on the 13th on Mnet’s music programme, M!Countdown.

MBLAQ presented Cry which is a R&B song produced by E-Tribe, and a strong performance with Stay. Both songs gives off a totally different atmosphere on stage.

Their new album BLAQ Style, blends weill with BLAQ charisma, with their smokey make up and gorgeous black shirts which showed MBLAQ’s chic feel. this, as compared to army suits, show a more mature and manly charm.

On the 10th, when BLAQ Style was first released, their pre-order had went beyong 25,00 copies.

In this album, there are other producers which participated other than Raun, such as E-tribe, the producer for Cry also joined in to create this album. Bae Jin Ryul the composer of Rain’s Hip Song and MBLAQ’s Y, Rado whom composed B2ST’s SOOM and SNSD’s Kissing Yo and as well as Lee Jae Myoung whom composed Super Junior’s Marry You had also participated.

Adding on, leader SeungHo composed the intro, Sad Memories, showing his abilities, and maknae Mir wrote the rap in You’re My +, showing his feelings he has towards his fans.

Among the title songs of KBS2 TV drama “Fugitive Plan B” in which RAIN (Bi) plays the leading role and became a hot topic, 2 MBLAQ’s songs are appointed. “Running & Running,” that was used formerly, has MBLAQ’s signature style. Having an impressive dance number as the good points of the melody, as an “OST,” or original soundtrack of a drama, it was released in Korea on October 13th last year.

“Bang Bang Bang,” the next appointed, was distributed online with charge on November 24th and attained the first place in downloading count on the distribution sites. It is not decided if it will be released as an OST. Apart from this these 2 songs are not planned to be included in an album, and also being the fact that no official comments have been announced yet, it became a precious interview.

—-At what kind of scenes in the drama was “Running & Running” used?

Seungho:

—-Danceable pop is the style MBLAQ is good at, so what kind of effect do you think that “Running & Running” gave in that drama?

G.O: I think that with the sound that has a feeling of speed the thrill of the chasing scenes is further up and it was possible to connect the development between scenes dynamically.

—-In what way was “Bang Bang Bang,” the next appointed, used?

Seungho: I think that as the ending theme of the drama’s season 2,”Bang Bang Bang” is conveying the pleasant feeling of solving a case.

—-”Bang Bang Bang” is a song with a fairly strong rock color even in MBLAQ’s repertoire, but what was enjoyable when trying to singing it? Or at which part did you have a hard time?

G.O: I don’t have much hard time (laugh). Compared to “Running & Running,” this is still a song with a new style that differs from the conventional MBLAQ, so I think it was very enjoyable when singing it and could appeal to people that even MBLAQ can sing such a song.

Cheondoong: Our fans also like our new music genre and I was really happy.

No doubt that it will be the greatest album! Since around last June when we completed our 2nd single “Y” activities we started our preparation. For our first full album, we have been doing training focusing on where MBLAQ has been lacking so far and are also working hard now in order to complete a perfect album.

—-Speaking of now, since about when have you started to think of your first full album that is in the middle of producing?

Joon:

—-Among the members did you discuss about doing what kind of album?

Seungho: Not only about the album, we have been always having communication related to performances. Lately even when there is a little bit of time, we have been preparing as we exchange opinions concerning the songs in the full album, dance, etc.

—-What kind of album does it seem to become?

G.O: As much as we keep people waiting for a long time, to complete the greatest album unlimited time has been devoted into practising.

Singer Rain presented male pop group MBLAQ with “My Dear”, the 4th song from their new album, which he wrote and composed.

MBLAQ released their first regular album ‘BLAQ Style’ on the morning of the 10th. This album has 13 songs on it, including their joint title track ‘Cry’ and ‘Stay’.

It is “My Dear” (‘그대여’ in Korean) that gets the most attention, in addition to their title track. Rain, MBLAQ’s producer and teacher, wrote both the words and the music of this song. MBLAQ’s first official album, “BLAQ Style,” has received an explosive amount of interest, as demonstrated by its 25,000 orders, just one day after its release.

On January 11th, J. Tune Camp stated, “The number of orders for MBLAQ’s ‘BLAQ Style’ has exceeded 25,000 copies. We’re currently producing more copies overnight in order to match up to the number of orders. Even so, we can’t be sure that it’ll be enough. We’ll be making additional productions soon.”

This is the group’s first official album, despite the fact that it’s been a year and two months since their debut. The album itself has been headlining ever since its first title track, “Cry,” was released on January 3rd. The second title track, “Stay,” was released on the morning of the 10th, and both have managed to rank in on major live music charts. “Darling,” which was produced by their mentor Rain, is also steadily climbing the charts.

After coming back with a strong, addictive new track to conquer the charts this new year, the members of MBLAQ recently took part in an interview with Star News to express some of their thoughts they harbored during the preparations for their comeback.

The first point that they revealed was that they had returned to their ‘rookie mindsets,’ with Seungho concentrating on his piano lessons and G.O. focusing on writing and composing songs. Every track featured in their comeback album features the members’ individual voices and opinions behind the production.

Lee Joon revealed, “We always thought that we weren’t properly prepared, so we worked on everything right from the start this time around. As opposed to performing something made to show ourselves off, we’re planning to express clean music and choreography. Our first official album is extremely precious to us in that it’s filled with just our voices alone.”

MBLAQ has also declared a sort of separation from their mentor and creator, Rain. Their first official album prioritized the participation of all the members, de-emphasizing Rain and leaving him to work on an extra side track instead of the main title track.

The album also features the work of E-TRIBE, Wontag, Rado, and other indie hip hop and R&B musicians to give it an extra charismatic touch.

Personally declaring it their ’second debut,’ the boys were asked how Rain felt as they underwent the preparations. Seungho replied, “Jihoon-hyung (Rain) always emphasized confidence and also asked us to leave the comfort of his arms. As a form of independence, we personally chose all of the songs and participated in the production. It was an opportunity for us to balance freedom and restriction.”

The boys also reflected on their past year, with G.O. stating, “We looked back on a lot of things such as the painful preparation we all underwent before our debut. We spent a lot of time on improving ourselves with writing music, studying, and exercising. It’s helped us get a lot stronger.”

MBLAQ also revealed that they’re panning for a Japanese debut this April. Lee Joon replied, “Before we even began a clear promotion cycle, fans from different Asian countries recognized and greeted us. We’re going to be lending our strength to the Hallyu wave soon.”

Seungho concluded, “We just want to enjoy the stage. We have to run as fast and hard as rabbits.”

Recently, SHINee’s official Japanese site opened. Immediately after opening, its server crashed due to over 20,000 visitors. Like many other K-pop groups, SHINee is very popular on an international level, winning the hearts of listeners from countries all of the world. Following this pattern, Peruvian netizens chose SHINee as the best K-pop band of 2010.

Online users of a Peruvian news source known as Radio Programas del Peru (RPP) voted for the best K-pop band. The votes were recently tallied, and the top ten bands were SHINee, SS501, JYJ, Super Junior, MBLAQ, CN Blue, FT Island, 2PM, B2ST, and Big Bang.

‘Chic-dols’ MBLAQ, who is making a comeback with their first full-length album, will be having their first fan-meeting on 9 January.

This coming fan-meeting will be held at the Dom Art Hall, which is in the Children’s Grand Park, Seoul, on the 9th, at 4pm. MBLAQ’s members will be having an anniversary cake-cutting ceremony, playing games and putting up their individual performances. MBLAQ is determined to put up a diversified stage for their fans, at their first fan-meeting.

Idol group MBLAQ has left up to the fans to make a name for the choreography of 'Cry'.

MBLAQ who is looking forward to come back with first full album will show a dance performance to fans through a Star Call video and they have announce that if fans make name for choreography, they will choose the best dancer.

During the 'MBLAQ Choreography Name Battle' event, five people who sent the name of the choreography will be chosen randomly to receive a recommended book with MBLAQ's signature.

The event will also receive all MBLAQ's Star Calls which were sent by fans.

[MaxMovie Reporter Pyo Jae Min] Male idol group – MBLAQ has been received positive reviews since their new song ‘Cry’ was revealed.

‘Cry’, which is the title song of MBLAQ’s first full-length album, ‘BLAQ List’, was revealed on the 3rd, in the morning.

The music video of ‘Cry’ was also revealed. The more refined image shown through the song, choreography and visuals heightened the anticipation for the comeback stage.

‘Cry’, written and composed by composer of SNSD’s ‘Gee’ – E-Tribe, is a song that expresses the feelings of a man who is desperately trying to hold on to a woman whom has left him.

[TV Daily Reporter Kim Ji Hyun] The veil of chic-dols MBLAQ’s first full-length album – “BLAQ List” has finally been removed.

“Cry”, one of the title songs of MBLAQ’s first album that only hit the stands 1 year and 2 months after their debut, was revealed at major websites at 11am, 3rd January 2011.

Anticipation was heightened after the teaser was released, which showed MBLAQ being at 5-metre-deep underwater. “Cry” is a song which expresses the feelings of a man who is trying to hold on to a woman whom has left him. It has a different feeling as compared to “Y”, which expresses the feeling of a man who is going to take revenge against the woman who has left him.

“Cry” was composed and written by the famous E-Tribe, who also produced SNSD’s “Gee”. The song follows the style of ‘Slow Urban R&B’, which has a trendy and unique drum sounds and impressively sophisticated melody line.

Following the dream-like teaser, the beautiful MV and song has been revealed.

MBLAQ’s agency, J Tune Camp, commented that “The completed full-length album, which MBLAQ and the nation’s best producers and staff have devoted themselves into for months, will be released officially a week later, on the 10th January 2011.” It was also added that “You can feel the difference and upgrade of the music that is unique to MBLAQ.”

The teaser of another title song of MBLAQ’s first full-length album will be released two days later, on the 5th.

On December 27th, JYP Entertainment announced, ‘JYP Entertainment and its employees have become the biggest shareholder of J.Tune Entertainment via third party shares allotment.'

JYPE continued, ‘Some time ago, J.Tunes’ talent Rain approached JYPE producer Park Jin Young with a proposal. Until he joins the army next year, Rain will focus solely on his singing and acting activities. He has requested that JYPE be in charge of his company’s management.'

Both sides revealed, ‘JYPE’s shareholders had the same suggestion as Rain’s, and the proposal was completed after the review.’

MBLAQ has dropped further details on their comeback activities, set for this coming January.

Representatives of J. Tune Entertainment revealed to Star News, “MBLAQ will be releasing Part 1 of their teaser on December 29th. Their first stage will be held in mid-January.”

They continued, “A lot of talented producers took part in this album, allowing MBLAQ to differentiate themselves from their standard image. Fans can anticipate performances emphasizing their power.”

MBLAQ is currently in the final stages of their album preparations, and will be releasing teasers, a music video, and title tracks in that order.

R&B vocalists and producers such as Wontag were revealed to have participated in the album.

January.10.2011 will be D-day for us A+es ... I mean for our boys (but we're the ones that have been waiting, right?), they're (finally!!!) gonna release their 1st. full album.

A representative of J. Tune Entertainment disclosed to Newsen on December 23rd: “Because of the amount of preparation gone into their comeback, they’ve become different from other idols. You will be able to experience a sharper feeling. This album is expected to have a total of 13 to 15 songs.” (Ding ding ding merry x-mas to you all... ;D)

So our blaquies seems to have opted for quality instead of quantity, and, seriously for this I can wait a little longer on each comeback (^-^)b ...
