Before you debuted with MBLAQ, you were part of a co-ed group called 'TYKEYS'. If you had to choose one moment which you remember fully, what would it be?
The day that our album came out - and that's because I prepared a lot for our debut album. I was proud of myself. Even though the results weren't as good as I hoped for, it was the experience back then which helped with my rebirth as a member of MBLAQ.
'Hurricane' by Eric Bennett is a song which you sang at the TYKEYS showcase. It was released later on and your soulful voice caught the attention of many. We're curious of what song you're practising at the moment. And if there is a song which you want to sing for your future girlfriend, what would it be?
Even though this reflects badly on me as a singer, I only listen to music that I like (like a person only eats their favourite food) but I'm trying to fix this problem. I'm listening to a lot of Jay Sean at the moment at the recommendation of Thunder. I think he has a nice voice and I feel as if I can relate to the songs. The song that I want to sing for my future girlfriend would be Eric Benet's 'The Last Time', one of my most-sung songs of all times (and I still sing it to this day). I remember getting good reactions because of the soft melody.
You use a lot of unusual expressions such as "Oo hee" and "Ong cak cak". If you had to express the situation in the studio right now, what would it be?
I'd use "Jeol kkwaet kot" (T/N the scan is really unclear so forgive me XD). The pronuciation sounds really wet and humid. There's a lot of humidity in the studio and because I keep drinking Vitamin Water, I feel as if I have a lot of water in me too.
